Q:
What is the 'Default Setup Path' for in the Preferences panel?
A:
This facility allows the user to specify a 'base' or favourite directory which will be the browsing starting point when saving or retrieving Hopewiser setup files.
Q:
What are the setup files for?
A:
Setup files enable the user to rerun (regular/scheduled) processing jobs without the need to redefine all the parameters of that run again. Loading up a saved setup file and making slight changes to the run is also much less onerous than beginning the processing setup from scratch.
Q:
How many records should the software be processing per hour?
A:
This depends on the capabilities of the system the software is installed and processes. Older hardware, or many processes will slow the rate down.
Q:
How accurate are the geographical grid references output from Hopewiser software?
A:
The majority of users have grid reference data derived from Ordnance Survey NSPD. This is accurate to within 1 metre of the geographical mean of the postcode. Other suppliers provide more accurate alternatives at an additional cost.
